Downtown Puerto Vallarta Hotels
Downtown Puerto Vallarta hotels provide guests with the unique experience of staying in the vibrant cultural center of this resort town where the best in art, entertainment, shopping, and dining is just a few steps away. There are plenty of good hotels in Old Town Puerto Vallarta as well as viable options further north along the Malecon. Many people who visit Puerto Vallarta never venture into the Old Town district and therefore do not get a real sense of the town with its beautiful landmarks and friendly local population. Old Town Puerto Vallarta hotels often offer the best rates and are located in some of the most convenient places in town. The Malecon and Los Muertos Beach are nearby and access to the airport is straight forward.
The Howard Johnson is one of the downtown Puerto Vallarta hotels where you can find excellent rates, especially when booking well in advance of your trip. This particular hotel is located near La Iglesia de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe and the Malecon. There are two large outdoor swimming pools and nice terraces that overlook the ocean. There is also a charming outdoor restaurant and bar where you can enjoy fresh seafood and favorite local Mexican dishes along with an icy tropical beverage. At the Howard Johnson Puerto Vallarta you will also enjoy complimentary parking and breakfast, access to a private beach with water activities, and dedicated concierge services 24 hours a day.
Of all the Old Town Puerto Vallarta hotels, the Hotel Belmar (pictured) may be the most quaint and charming, as well as the best value for your money. Each of the 30 rooms at this family-owned establishment are thoughtfully appointed with nice art work, lush bedding, and personal touches that only a small, privately owned hotel can offer. It is centrally located in Old Town close by the Rio Cuale, Los Muertos Beach, and the Malecon. You will know that you are in a unique place when you are greeted with warmness into the lobby where a tasteful array of art works hang as a permanent display. Personal attention is always the order of the day at the Hotel Belmar and prices do not get much cheaper. There are other good hotels in Old Town Puerto Vallarta, just maybe none with as warm and inviting as this one.
Hotel Eloisa is another of the Old Town Puerto Vallarta hotels where you will find good rates, a welcoming staff, and perfect location nearby many of the town’s attractions. The Malecon is just about a five-minute walk away. The views of the Sierra Madre Mountains as well as the Bay of Banderas are stunning from the hotel’s terrace. Guests can choose from standard or studio rooms as well as luxury suites. All of the rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is more than willing to assist in arranging tours of the city, snorkeling excursions, or whatever else your heart desires. Along with the Belmar, Hotel Eloisa stands out among the other good hotels in Old Town Puerto Vallarta. Be sure to remember to book your reservations as far in advance as possible to secure the best rates on downtown Puerto Vallarta hotels.
